About Me
Half-Japanese, Half Brazilian, moved to Japan in 2009 with a scholarship from the Japanese Government.
From Embedded Systems to Frontend Development, I have worked for 7 years as an Engineer and I'm always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.
I'm currently working as a Full Stack Engineer in multiple client-work projects at DIVX .
Two basic principles I live by:
1. Engineering for the common people.A lot of IT is done to "solve problems and increase productivity" with the subtext of only making other companies richer. We need more Engineering projects that make people happy with small things, which is why I'd like to focus on the following fields in my next career steps: Mental Health, Fitness or Wellness.
2. "Personality" over "Resume"I've had the opportunity to mentor a few people in the past and from personal experience, I can say I prefer people of high curiosity, hard work and open mind over shiny resumes without basic humility. If you're starting out as a freelancer and you're confident in your people skills, new development partners are always welcome!
